New Year, new king? King Charles is less than three years into his reign but some people are already looking ahead to William’s time on the throne. Will this ever happen – and would the Royal Family…

Regarding Reiner, I have known a lot of musicians and been in bands myself. I can’t overstate the importance of This Is Spinal Tap in adjusting the self-importance of musicians. Everyone knows the movie, everyone has identified Spinal Tap moments, everyone is humbler and funnier as a result.

Thanks to those coming forward, trainee teacher numbers are at a post-pandemic high.

We're getting more children back in classrooms, more teachers in front of them.

We promised 6,500 new teachers driving up standards in our schools. Labour is delivering.

So why aren't you nationalising the private rolling stock leasing companies? And why doesn't the same argument apply to e.g. the private water industry?

D'you remember Sid - the tagline used by the Conservative government in 1986 to push the idea of privatising gas?

Oxford City Councillor Ottino had some home truths for Sid, in a debate on Thames Water.

After 40 years, privatisation of public services has failed. It's time for public ownership.

Very well said
I'm a late convert to test cricket but now absolutely love it.

I think it's one of the very few things in life comparable to a novel - with different acts, a specific setting, character arcs that rise and fall, the beginning may end up being nothing like the end

And Londoners are cycling like never before, with 1.5 million bike trips every day.

We’ll continue to work with TfL and London’s boroughs to make cycling safer, easier and more accessible for all.
