Yeah: the angle I'm taking for analysis for Silent Hill F is basically: Silent Hill F uses Inari faith, fox lore for horror (& gender norms etc) but if your only exposure to Shinto etc was through religious horror, it's going to be distorted. But I like grounding the analysis ^^

Not just full games cancelled—entire characters and plot lines removed or changed, leaving less time for making the *rest of the game better*, to try avoiding a small and malicious contingent of voices.

tl;dr: Bluesky began with genuine promise: a new social media platform where users could feel safer, but inconsistent moderation quickly eroded trust.

Meta platforms, Tumblr, Reddit and TwiX all directly harvest into their respective genAI services. Bluesky, Masto and Cara don’t, but do get scraped.

And then TwiX is the worst of them because Grok directly allows for genAI remixing of your art by everyone.

but I don't think they are sufficient. and "love it or leave it" messaging doesn't speak to me.

language like "control your online destiny" speaks to me.

credible exit and low-friction switching costs are important and necessary properties that underwrite a lot of this. so is strong individual control of individual identity.
