I got terrible food poisoning in the UK, and they treated me at the ER (making sure it wasn't appendicitis) and gave me prescription drugs for free. I'm not a UK citizen.

always good to write the NLG number somewhere like on your arm, or any other representation you might need. memorize a phone number or too, tell people where you're going before hand, connect with a buddy, and evaluate your own risk assesment i think is always good for where it feels safe to be

Because my brother has a strong sense of right and wrong, I also told him masking up (also for solidarity) and turning off cell and GPS service ahead of time could make it harder to face repercussions if he decides in the moment to do the right thing over the personal safety thing.

My brother texted me asking about protest safety tips for upcoming no kings events. I'm no expert, but biggest safety tip for marches is bring sunscreen, water, snacks and weather appropriate clothes.
