like to say “he’s bombing Venezuela as a distraction from the Epstein files” doesn’t feel quite accurate because he’s so driven by immediate impulses that things are rarely that tactical; but I think it excites him to be seen as a War Leader and he will go back to that well anytime he feels weakened

It is important that everyone now sees what Russia is doing. Every step they take in terror against our people, all the attacks, because this is definitely not about ending the war.

For all our diplomatic efforts to be effective, we need to put pressure on the aggressor to end the war they started

Trump calls human beings “vermin,” “garbage,” “diseases,” “poison,” and “animals.”

Then, when I rightfully point out that the same dehumanizing language has been used by fascist regimes to justify humanity’s worst atrocities—Republicans lose their minds.

Give me a break.

I can no longer say "unbelievable" about anything Trump does, but it's still remarkable.

The president of the country which used to be undisputed leader of the free world, lets an ally be battered with civilians killed every night, refusing to close the skies, then does this:

I’M SICK OF AMERICANS
SAYING UKRAINE HAS LOST

Nothing is further from the truth and there’s been a lot of American talk that the war is nearly four years old and the only thing that can happen is Ukraine loses. Where in the history books can you show me an example of a defending power who has

I wish we lived in a land where if journalists heard the president call one of their colleges "piggy" or suggest another of their colleagues, who was butchered for what he wrote, in some way had it coming, they would close their laptops, leave as soon as possible, and ask to be reassigned.

as a reporter, the part of this that i’ve simply never understood is how the next person to ask a question when he does something like this doesn’t simply repeat the question that set him off. it’s not just solidarity with your colleague, it’s an important question that remains worth asking
I’m not going to pretend it’s easy to say something in the moment when you witness the president do this and you’re aboard Air Force One with all the uniformed officers and secret service and fancy wood accents, but this is really an instance where you should. people.com/donald-trump...
