The reproduction Bristol Boxkite, built to the original design from 1910, flying at Shuttleworth on Sunday. This one was apparently built for the film ‘Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines’ in 1965 before ending up in the Shuttleworth collection. Hats off to whoever first flew this thing.

I'm a fan of English painter #JohnWilliamWaterhouse (1849-1917) because his work is realistic but not hyperreal. He was an Academic painter that became part of the PreRaphaelite Brotherhood for their subject matter of strong women with mythological origins. This oil is called Boreas.

One of the many things I have come to love about living in #Bellingham are the sunsets. This one at the boardwalk encompasses so many things about this city and I am reminded to keep getting out for more of this. Especially when it’s beautiful and warm like the summer #sunsets are.
