If new Scottish Government funding can be found to secure the future of all those below, plus the Citizens Theatre in Glasgow and the Edinburgh book festival, it can certainly be found to secure the future of Cumbernauld Theatre.
The treatment of Cumbernauld Theatre by Creative Scotland & the Scottish Government is truly shameful & would simply not have happened to a venue in Edinburgh.
Contrast with recent lifelines for King’s Theatre, Filmhouse, Summerhall, Traverse, poetry library. www.heraldscotland.com/news/2550562...

Ideas that are 20 years old dressed in a faux patriotic message to head off Reform is the entire raison d'etre of Starmer's project. This is what he is; the only thing he can offer. That's why there is no ideological coherence or ability to address the actual issues of the age.

Hey, with Keir's latest idea we can all become card-carrying racists.

Hahaha. Seriously. If you can find someone who loves you as much as Blairites love ID cards then you've hit the fucken jackpot.
Many Labour MPs argue an ID cards policy would be a double boost for Starmer:
Help tackle issues like small boats, fight Reform
Lord Blunkett, who tried to introduce digital ID under Blair, said ministers seem to be "working towards" it

I applaud Sir Keir for continuing to meet my rock bottom expectations.
My expectations for a what the Starmer project would deliver were in a bin and on fire. It is meeting those expectations.

Le Bris - November. Reckon Sunderland won't be adrift but they won't see enough to keep them up and will ditch him for Ange.
As a bonus Scott Parker will see out the entire season.

In what I'm sure will be a fruitless and disappointing attempt to inject some of Football Twitter (RIP) onto Bluesky, I have a question for you on the eve of the new Premier League season:
Which manager do you think will get sacked first? And a bonus question: when? #EPL

The entire interaction and the sexual connotations appended to it are a figment of an overactive imagination by a zealot with severe psychosexual hang-ups; that they're being treated as a serious matter of national importance in the media reveals what a farce the UK is.
I wrote to M&S about the stupid lingerie department story - confirms nobody offered a bra fitting to a teenage girl. The Telegraph and JK can (always) do one.

There’s misogyny at every level of cricket, whether you’re a fan, staff, media, player, coach, anything. It’s making women unsafe. It’s making them abandon the sport they love.
If there’s no place for this in cricket, what are you going to do about it?

There is nothing as fun as the MyJobScotland lottery. Will I get a rejection email, will I interview, hear nothing for 2 months with my application 'pending' and then suddenly changed to unsuccessful without any feedback, or will I get a phone call off a number I don't know I can't answer?

I feel like it’s being overlooked that a policy based on the idea that kids are autistic, not trans, is essentially saying that autistic kids don’t know themselves enough to consent to healthcare. This is making a loophole that will make autistic kids exempt from Gillick competence. It’s dystopian.
Remember all that time I spent on Twitter banging on about how “gender critical” fascists keep talking about autism because they wanted the ability to deny autistic people, as well as trans people, bodily autonomy. Well, thanks to the widely discredited Cass Review, oh fuck, we’re heading there.
