The crux of this framing is that men will “exploit” trans inclusivity to perv in women’s bathrooms. The problem is: men - like the *registered sex offender* in this story - already do this, and there’s zero evidence that trans-inclusive policies have suddenly incentivised more of them into action.

It does not and will never matter whether or not we were born queer. If every single LGBTQ+ person made a conscious choice at some point about their sexuality or gender (and I don't believe this is the case, to be clear), it would still be fine to be as we are.
