Northwestern’s leaders will likely try to justify their choice to appease fascist extortion with some BS about needing to help researchers get federal funds that were illegally withheld, so it’s important to note that virtually all of the researchers said not to.
So apparently the administrators at Northwestern have caved to the extortionist demands of the Feds. Faculty voted 595-4 AGAINST this measure.

This article is spot on about the UK's descent into anti-trans hysteria. In 8 years, they went from the conservatives trying to make it easier for trans folks to self attest gender to a liberal government implementing a bathroom ban by fiat.

The NHS are forcibly detransitioning trans kids in Brighton and calling it “managed withdrawal.” Their own impact assessment acknowledges trans kids will be at increased risk of harm as a result, don’t want this, and are likely to just use DIY hormones instead

At some point people are going to have to realise that, as we keep saying, anti-trans activists don't want to see trans people in public. They've moved from hassling individual trans people online to targeting employers who employ trans people (The NHS in Fife and Darlington and now M&S)
