Pro-DEI, because different perspectives and experiences are the way to increasing knowledge, wealth, and wisdom.

Also annoyed that I have to point all this out.

Cutting support for ABA services without investing an equal amount into other therapies in a safe environment where autistic kids can stay while parents go to work is going to be an economic disaster for those families.

After visiting today, I’m ready to write a spec script: “Paris & Doyle at Gilmoreland,” where they are trying to comprehend how their friend’s memoir has expanded into a world of its own.

so the two notable programming moves bari weiss has made at CBS are... airing an interview nobody watched and not airing a 60 Minutes segment that everybody watched. it's like she's satirizing herself

Worth noting, I guess, that inside of a year we've gone from administration officials taking selfies of themselves at CECOT and bragging about how it's hell on earth to now getting their horrible little media worms to kill stories about it

Was just thinking about how many Pulp Fiction quotes are regaining their relevance lately.

“ [he] should have known better” is the current one, for reasons I can’t quite articulate.

We don’t need a billionaire tax.
We need an oligarchy tax.

There is a tremendous opportunity for a brand new generation of media outlets to rise up right now because many news outlets that spent decades painstakingly building their credibility are seeing it torched by bootlickers with incredible speed.

I think it's hilarious that Pam Bondi has found multiple ways to fuck this up and make everyone involved look even worse
This photo, file 468, from the Epstein files that includes Donald Trump has apparently now been removed from the DOJ release.

AG Bondi, is this true? What else is being covered up? We need transparency for the American public.

Still.
Underrated post.

It almost goes without saying, but this is illegal. The name "John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts" is established by law and the board doesn't have the power to change it. 20 USC 3 §§ 76h - 76s.

no, dumbass, there is not. It was in the east wing.

"rob reiner derailing donald trump's presidency from beyond the grave" is very much not how i thought this year would end
Trump doubles down on his Rob Reiner attack: "I wasn't a fan of his at all. He was a deranged person... He became like a deranged person, Trump Derangement Syndrome. So I was not a fan of Rob Reiner at all in any way, shape or form. I thought he was very bad for our country."

Rob Reiner: I'm going to make a coming of age drama, a fantasy adventure story, a romantic comedy, a psychological horror and then a courtroom drama.

Us: Across your entire career?

Reiner: In a 6 year period.

Us: That sounds-

Reiner: -Each one will be arguably the best movie in that genre.

Only time I ever saw Rob Reiner in person was when he was in the front row of the Spinal Tap concert at the Greek Theater. It was awesome. RIP

It makes political sense that "The House takes care of financial matters - taxes, tariffs, budgets - because they are more responsive due to being up for election more often."

But it makes even more economic sense that it's "...because with more members they can best determine the total impact."

Should be wild that the vast majority of Americans don't give a shit about your kids being murdered regularly by guns. Polls may say they do, but the way Americans vote say otherwise.

They vote for Republicans that don't give a shit, or Dems that refuse to put any effort into ending gun violence.
Trump: "I've been fully briefed on the Brown University situation. What a terrible thing it is. All we can do right now is pray for the victims." (Trump falsely posted that the shooter is in custody.)

I have maybe 10 Presidential elections left in me, so 20 Federal elections, plus the same number of primaries.

And every day brings another reason why I will never vote for the Republicans, ever, in any of them.

This is why people, especially a president, shouldn’t rush to post unverified claims during an active shooting. The suspect was not in custody, and misinformation in moments like this can get people killed.
