This week I made mousse, using locally sourced organic blackberries (ie from my neighbour's neglected garden).
I was very pleased with how it looked in these glasses, so took a pic to show the friend who gave them to me.
The mousse was good too.

So it turns out that baking powder really does have an expiry date. My lemon drizzle cake looked lovely when I took it out of the oven; golden brown and level.
It just hadn't risen much.
It's still actually quite light & very tasty. All the slices I took to D & D get eaten.

I was wearing the T-shirt and wanted a shirt to go over it in the evening. I don't have anything that goes with it, only things that either look wrong, or clash. So I decided that if I was going to clash, I would clash properly.

I want to phone Ven & vent at her about how yet another light/urban/low fantasy novel I just read turned out to be style over substance. 2D characters, historical/social errors, illogical plotting etc.
But our last call went on for 2 hours, & I have stuff to do tonight.

I just goofed up on my Whoosh delivery & accidentally ordered 3 bunches of bananas, instead of just 3.
I am now the person in a maths problem who has 15 bananas, and is (trying to) give 5 to her neighbour.
I think I'm doomed to choc chip banana bread all next week.

I was just remembering my first piano lessons, back in 1978. My tutor was an elderly lady that Dad had somehow got to know via the Bowls Club. Her fee was 2/6" per lesson.
The country had been decimal for nearly a decade, but her fee stayed at 2/6", so each week I paid her 12 1/2p.
