Wow. They really are building a dream-team over at Reform.
Former Tory MP Ben Bradley has now defected to Reform. They really are taking all the worst people from the Boris era.

Russia cannot be beaten.

"But Putin can. He’s losing, not winning. And sooner or later, like the tsars and totalitarians of old, that same eternal Russia whose name he glorifies will chew him up and spit him out."

Outstanding piece on Putin's deluded gambit.

Farage has always been racist, a white supremacist. Where were people during Brexit & his rants about an invasion of foreigners? This isn't new, it's the core nature of the man & what attracts him to so many. Get real, Britain is currently voting for racism 😡

I wouldn't be surprised if Labour were to run on rejoining the single market/customs union at the next election. One of the primary challenges they will face (if present conditions continue) is to unite the liberal left behind them and against Reform/the Tories. Brexit 2 is a good way to do that.

Yesterday, the UK PM gave a speech at the Lady Mayor's Banquet at the Guildhall, London, an annual event.

And I say to him 'thank you' for what he said on Brexit.

He said "how it was sold and delivered was wrong. Wild promises were made to the British people and not fulfilled."

I recommend you read all of this extraordinarily thorough report about Britain’s political and economic decline. But whatever you do, read the last few hundred words to reveal the kind of bastards itching to rip us all off if Farage gets in.

💯 this. Thatcher & Kinnock were probably no cleverer than most politicians today. But read their speeches: they made serious arguments about the nature of the state & the meaning of democracy.

No one wants philosophers in charge. But you do need a compass if you're going to steer in a straight line
We have got to make politics intellectual again. It is the only way that societies thrive is when politicians have the capability to actually think and reflect deeply:
