i've said this before, but americans are entitled customers because customer is our only role in life where others care about our wants and needs
we get stepped on as workers, as students, as tenants. only as a customer do we experience any respect or consideration

Here's an update on my small-voxel renderer, inspired by the look of games like Doom and Quake. The work I shared last year focused on handling simpler environment geometry. Since then, I've greatly expanded the scope of what I can depict in this art style. More info in thread.

You want to democratize "going to therapy"? Make it "free" as in paid by socialized healthcare. You want to democratize "making art"? Give people money and free time to express themselves.

I swear to god if Microsoft puts the OpenAI equity on their earnings as a positive event, or put their $250bn spend as RPO to boost the stock, I will become the joker fully, I will simply erupt the makeup from my face

Today is a day when arts degrees are worthless, but the product of those degrees is so valuable it would kill an entire industry if they were made to pay for it.

Found this in my Notes from like a year ago. Feel like with Sora 2 it’s more relevant than ever.

Only in America can you take the random mass murdering of students and instead of addressing the problem, turn it into a for profit cottage industry.
The effort to keep schools safe from mass shooters has ballooned into a multibillion dollar industry. Companies are selling school districts assurance with high-tech products.
The school shooting industry is worth billions — and it keeps growing

The massive praise for the Pixel 10 line is so disappointing. Google locks down the phone, the OS, and is now trying to kill sideloading, and they get nothing but praise from the mainline press.
How are these companies ever going to change if the loudest critics never challenge their bullshit?

People are legit losing the plot.
Saw a post on r/editors where someone gave a video link for a client project to ChatGPT and asked it to QC the video for errors and glitches.
It's like asking your toaster to the mow the lawn. It doesn't do that. It just cooks bread.
