Dude, we need to do better about shared scooter and bike parking in Seattle. The status quo of 'leave them wherever you like' is dangerous for and disrespectful to disabled pedestrians. Like here at this major rapid ride stop👇

ICE now admits that hundreds of children were held past the legal 20-day custody limit set to protect their safety.

Five were kept for 168 days.

Some faced unsafe conditions and went days without medical care.

This crosses a moral line.

In the first six months of congestion pricing, air pollution within Manhattan's toll zone dropped 25%.

Pollution fell across the five boroughs and in the suburbs, too. A clean air win all around.

Spotify is garbage on every count: Its treatment of artists, its ICE advertising, the CEO's investment in military AI, its leading role in the commodification and AI slopification of music, its terrible audio quality—you name it.

So I quit, and put together a complete guide to getting off Spotify:
How to quit Spotify
This Black Friday, here's a guide to finding the best Spotify alternative

What music streaming service do you use, and why? I’m finally extracting myself from Spotify. Have been using Qobuz for the past month, and it’s a mixed bag. Thinking I’ll give Tidal a shot next.

I’m on a 45 min (each way) bus trip to hopefully procure the best tortillas in the city for a taco party.

Will they deliver on the promise?
Will they have sold out already?
Will the people-watching be as solid on the bus ride back? Only time and tacos will tell.

Playing a weekly tourney I usually avoid to practice for Monday Night Pinball consolation finals on Monday (we’re playing for 3rd place). I’m 2-1 so far, which is nice, but also part of why I dread playing is how long these last.

I’d rather win it all or get knocked out fast. Not expecting either.

I need everybody to read this and understand what’s going on. These are spouses of US citizens in the country legally. They have entry clearance and green cards, they’ve passed background checks and have no criminal records. ICE is taking them anyway.

Nothing like concert after concert to make your way through the dreary days of November.

Brian Jonestown Massacre
Dean Johnson
Built to Spill (tonight)
Mega Cat (tomorrow)

Very grateful for the invites and/or gifts for the first 3 shows. Stoked to see buddies play tomorrow.

There should be a word for when two straight (or bi) people who just met assume each other are gay or otherwise queer in a romantically incompatible way.

Something between unrequited wish-casting and explaining an easy comfort with a new acquaintance. An unnecessary but complimentary affirmation.
