Entirely separately stumbled on this yesterday and am half way through Carl Sagan's. Makes an interesting pairing with this year's on similar themes but with an almost fifty year change in style and substance.
Guys guys guys, I found the archive of the Royal Institution Christmas Lectures (it's not an achievement, they've not hidden them) - you can watch every single one since they started televising them in the 60s:

I love watching them every year, now I can see them all!

This is true and I was the only one on set excited about it (and playing the song on my phone to blank stares)
Just watched the new Knives Out and I think it's really important you know that the scene in the Seminary's Gym is filmed in the same place Rick Astley filmed the music video for Never Gonna Give You Up.

I saw the window tracery and immediately made my friends pause the film so I could tell them.

“Rain smacked Los Angeles. It splattered on the palm trees, sizzled on the neon, gurgled down the dirty boulevard. The town was sick. They hadn’t seen sunlight in almost a day. But I had the cure. A fifth of magic and a sack full of cold, hard joy. ‘Ho,’ I said once. It was enough.”

Story thread-
When Rob Reiner was on his all-time epic run at the start of his career, he had an opportunity to read a script that was looking for a production partner, and he lost his mind for it. He decided Castle Rock had to have it, no matter what.

From BBC Children's Hour to the Five Past Eight Shows, pantomime to Parliamo Glasgow, global TV fame to his later BBC Radio plays, Stan was the man.
