They want to wipe out almost a third of the country. It’s got nothing to do with illegal immigration.

It’s white nationalism pure and simple. They’re fascists, and there’s no reason to doubt it.

SBU hints at a “New Year’s miracle” — for Russians.

The Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) teased a possible “New Year’s miracle” for Russians in a TikTok post.

In plain terms: when Ukraine warns, it usually isn’t for decoration.

Gewoon kijken wat er gebeurt. Lijkt me lache.

There is no justification for using LLMs etc for writing *professionally*. Some AI formats might be useful for researching, but they should be double checked. But actual writing--if you use AI for actual fiction, for art, it's an admission of cluelessness and a lack of basic storytelling skills.

This column on Vox is the biggest pile of steaming AI crap I've seen this year. Human's aren't running out of ideas. Instead, those with power and money don't want to listen to ideas that threaten their power and money.

Ideas are plentiful. Putting those ideas into action is the hard part.
We’re running out of good ideas. AI might be how we find new ones.
What if the best use of AI is restarting the world’s idea machine?

Out of curiosity, I just ran a few paragraphs from The Butchering Art through an AI checker and it got flagged: 88% AI. This book was released in 2017, and AI machines were subsequently trained off it. How many writers are getting flagged for AI because of the literal theft of their work(s)? Insane.
OMG - f*ck AI for ruining the em-dash for writers. I use them all the time. Of course, what a shock that AI uses them since they were trained off my voice and other authors' voices.
I'm a writer who has specifically been directed *not* to use em-dashes because "they mean it was written by AI." I can detect AI writing, but it is not simply a matter of the punctuation used.

russia is doing repo records without that restriction. But now they have to go to another dimension

bsky.app/profile/leos...
1\ Russia is doing temporary money creation (aka Repo). I checked official Russian data and it seems to be the single biggest issue yet.

👉Today: 4.7tr rub
👉Biggest in 2022: 4.1tr rub on 01.03.2022
👉Biggest in 2014: 3.3tr rub 06.05.2014

A big sign of liquidity problems in Russia.
🚨 ‼️ ‼️ ‼️ HOLY MOLY!! The REPO emergency mechanism has reached an all time high in Russia, at 4.7 trillion rubles provided in liquidity!!!!!

If this isn’t a sign of a banking crisis, then it’s a sign of massive government spending and inflation…

Note odd maturity date of 2 weeks due to holidays.

I disagree with this, and playing realpolitik games with these people is how you end up with President Marjorie Taylor Greene in 2028. I'm not kidding. Hillary Clinton's campaign helped promote Trump in 2016 thinking his candidacy would help her cause.
Politics is not fan culture—none of these people are your friends. There are no permanent friends and no permanent enemies, only permanent interests.

We can be grateful that MTG is against Trump without liking her or thinking of her as a long-term ally. The anti-Trump coalition must be huge.
