The withdrawal of Afghanistan was botched, but it wasn't Donahue's fault (and ugh to having to defend a General and an Airborne unit). The 82nd went in to Kabul in the middle of chaos to secure the airport and did about the best they could given the circumstances.

Genuinely hadn't occurred to me before reading this, but that's why journalists are banging the "Bluesky is an echo chamber" drum, right? They can't use this platform for scraping news stories. Not only is there no outrage farming, but the nuclear block also limits their ability to follow discourse.
