As a person who has been studying extreme far right ideologies for the last decade (and did a PhD on immigration) I find the entrance of “remigration” into the mainstream American political lexicon so profoundly disturbing

Kind of eerie how this guy is just recycling the AfD playbook into the US context… first „remigration“ and now this…
Folks, would you believe me if I told you JD Vance was over there railing against the immigrants as the reason for the antisemitism

When white supremacists show you who they are, believe them, and so on.
SCOOP: The State Department's new reorganization plan includes the opening of an "Office for Remigration," a term popularized by far right extremists and neo-Nazis in Europe. The office will coordinate directly with DHS "to advance the President’s immigration agenda."

My report:
State Department set to launch ‘Office of Remigration’
The concept of remigration has explicitly neo-Nazi roots and has been popularized in Europe.

what ezra doesn't seem willing to accept is that charlie kirk was part of a political movement that does not think that "we are going to have to live here with each other" and is fact very interested in the elimination and/or subjugation of many, many people
"All I can say for me in the work I do is that I want to create a space that takes our disagreements seriously, that takes the stakes of them seriously, the consequences for people seriously, but does so without deepening our divisions irreparably. We are going to have to live here with each other"

Rümeysa is one of the kindest, most compassionate people I have ever met. Many of you came to know her first and foremost as an ICE abductee, seized by a state that wanted to strip her of her humanity. I would like for you to know her in her own words, which are resoundingly human.

Black Jew here to say that *some* of you are getting a little weird with these “don’t cite the Nazis when you could cite the American example” replies

There has never been an authoritarian nationalization of the American academy like what happened in Germany, it’s ok to point to that model!!

Berlin's leading newspaper seriously suggesting that the "no bombs" symbol on this banner is coded antisemitism, because—and I am not exaggerating—*the bomb shape is like the body of an insect, and the Nazis caricatured Jews as spiders*.

Berlin is deporting four foreign residents after their participation in protests against Israel’s war on Gaza. Three are EU citizens, including two from Ireland.

The deportation orders are unlawful, but Berlin’s senate is going ahead anyway.

No empirical rationale, no due process - like here in the US, these are ideologically motivated crackdowns. Two of these people are trans and are being deported to places that are increasingly unsafe for trans people. Despicable, horrifying violence from the German state.

So…the White House just explicitly endorsed “race realism”
The most serious Nazi shit in this extremely Nazi shit executive order may be the idea, just slipped in there, that one of the "divisive narratives that distort our shared history" is that "race is not a biological reality but a social construct." www.whitehouse.gov/presidential...

Not to be a wide-eyed naïf about such things but... am I right in thinking that they levelled an entire building to get to one guy and *that* is not controversial to anyone in the American media or political class, only that this information was recklessly shared in an unsecured chat?
