I know this feels impossible now, but I swear, on January 6 itself, there was a pretty broad bipartisan consensus that storming the Capitol to find and kill lawmakers was bad, and that Trump was responsible for inciting his followers to try it

I really am sick of liberals saying "democrats don't have power they can't do anything how can you expect that of them."

They don't control government and can't enact change but they're not outright powerless. There's power in retail politics and democrats right now are -deliberately- avoiding it.

Quote tweeted with alt text and also want to note that everything he's written is a lie. Colonization stole wealth from those countries and in the years since those countries ended formal ties neo colonization found new ways of continuing to mine those countries for their wealth

"Nobody can stop me." - The real Trump doctrine

Crime is down in NYC, but press coverage of it is about to rocket to the heavens. Gotta paint Mamdani's New York as a post-apocalyptic wasteland, regardless of facts, lest people get the Wrong Ideas.
Crime is down, and the city is as safe as it has ever been. The city’s economy has defied predictions of doom and staged a strong recovery. And the major policy experiment of 2025, the congestion charge on vehicles entering lower Manhattan, has been a huge success.
Notes on New York
The Big Apple had a pretty good 2025, but …

THIS. I get it offends delicate centrist decorum to acknowledge this, but a core tenet of white-wing supremacy is that causality is for rubes and suckers. Nothing they do or say can ever have consequences.
Literally this year the MN Speaker was murdered at her home when a white male MAGA chud dressed up as a fake cop & killed her

Now mere months later, MAGAs are shocked that daycare operators in MN wouldn't open doors for white male MAGA chuds dressed up as fake journalists, demanding access to kids😐

So the “closed” daycares…were closed during the last week of the year, during which most daycares are closed. And the doors were “locked,” which they are at every daycare. And they wouldn’t let in a “journalist” with a camera…which they wouldn’t do at any daycare. Got it.

Why decline all these chances to defend feminism? Because to participate would be accepting the premise that our rights and humanity are up for debate in the first place.

Once you’ve conceded that it’s reasonable to ask whether women’s equality was a mistake, you’ve already lost.

CBS paid the president of the United States millions in bribe money and now they censor news reports so it does not annoy him. I don’t know how much plainer we can put this.

ICE pepper-sprayed this 1-year-old girl.

Once at the hospital, the doctor had to call in a poison control specialist.

They had never seen anyone that young pepper sprayed.

Another horrific story.

The truth in one sentence. One infuriating sentence.
The reason we're in this fucking mess is the GOP are the only ones actively trying to shift public opinion for the past 30 years, while Carville-brain Dems just follow whatever it is at the moment.
On top of not understanding public opinion is malleable, they ignore any survey results that don't confirm their prior beliefs!

Congrats everyone. And a *special* congrats to the Harpers letter signatories, free-speech warriors, and "anti-woke" crusaders. You saved us from woke! Great work.
