word of advice to anyone reading: tokyo godfathers is never not free on whatever streaming service offers free titles. at this point it is easier to watch this on your own time than some of the canonized all-timers like charlie brown or grinch. heavily recommend making time for it

It's about warning people about an abusive community so they do not fall victim.

Keep calling. Ask for if any of your purchases are risking your credit card with the rules being enforced, and ask for clarity as to what is being blocked by the processor. But don't do it aggressively. Do it kindly, but firmly.

part of the reason i am genuinely irritated with the gAI/AGI cult is because there is real societal benefits in using ML techniques in medical care + weather analysis, and instead people get annoyed with anything that gets lumped in with the plagiarism machine

I do think it’s extremely likely Trump 2.0 is pulling some levers behind the scenes, Project 2025 and in particular OMB’s Russ Vought (P25 alum) are MASSIVELY anti-porn. I’m just cautious against overstating the point publicly without any smoking gun to focus on, as a key part of my work rn is
I think Project 2025 may have to do with it. I'm no expert in US politics, so my opinion is as good as any uninformed drunkard's. But, if a company of any kind thinks these are guidelines for the plans of their government, I'd get that they'd comply in advance "just in case" to avoid legal trouble
