Also *I* was reminded to add a content warning for all the transphobia in the film. The original is from 2003 and Hana endures a lot of trans-antagonism, in spite of which she remains the heroine of the story.

word of advice to anyone reading: tokyo godfathers is never not free on whatever streaming service offers free titles. at this point it is easier to watch this on your own time than some of the canonized all-timers like charlie brown or grinch. heavily recommend making time for it
Reminder to add TOKYO GODFATHERS to your Christmas movie watchlist this season! Grateful to have given (English, dubbed) voice to the trans anime icon, our beloved Hana, in this Satoshi Kon holiday classic from @gkids.com! Watch it for free on Tubi or rent it on AppleTV!

That's completely true, but it's not even about that.

It's about warning people about an abusive community so they do not fall victim.

Nothing more.

If Glip had **actually** changed after they forced Marl out, the site wouldn't exist because there would be nothing to warn people about.

And even if this happened years ago, victims aren't obligated to forgive them and shouldn't be punished for choosing to not.

As immigration courthouse ICE arrests have dipped over the past several weeks, seemingly random ICE arrests appear to be on the rise. Attorneys are calling it “a coordinated campaign of race-based stops in largely Hispanic and immigrant neighborhoods in New York City."

The people who make the plagiarism machine are deliberately reinforcing this conflation. It helps them if these actual good use cases are tied to their vapid product, for exactly this sorry of reason
part of the reason i am genuinely irritated with the gAI/AGI cult is because there is real societal benefits in using ML techniques in medical care + weather analysis, and instead people get annoyed with anything that gets lumped in with the plagiarism machine
We could save soooo many lives but people are so caught up in their reactionary moral panic nonsense

I think Project 2025 may have to do with it. I'm no expert in US politics, so my opinion is as good as any uninformed drunkard's. But, if a company of any kind thinks these are guidelines for the plans of their government, I'd get that they'd comply in advance "just in case" to avoid legal trouble

do as Ana says here and tell them your bank told you to contact THEM. easy way to tack on more time in the call
