Hadn’t even thought about this angle, but yeah: it’s called the East Potomac Golf Course because it sits right by the Potomac. Waste will definitely leach into the waterway.
There was almost certainly lead paint in that rubble. Many folks have wondered if there may have been asbestos as well. Whatever was in there will now be leaching into the soil at this golf course, and from there into the waterways...
The White House's East Wing construction rubble was taken to East Potomac Golf Course. It was reported that the rubble will be used to create mounds on the golf course.
