you gotta remember that from a conservative perspective, these programs are a failure. they don't want to reduce homelessness, they want to punish homeless people. they'd pay 10x as much for that happily

All US policing and incarceration is based around the part of the 13th amendment that specifies under what circumstances you're still allowed to keep slaves.
Take a listen and seriously consider it. While this is not an uncommon practice, I am glad people are beginning to speak up about it.
