My electrician is a green card holder who's been here since he was a kid. He got married to a citizen, applied for citizenship, went to court for the papers and when he got there ICE kidnapped him and he's been locked up for a month.

"Just following orders" has not played well in court, historically.
I am no lawyer but it seems to me that the most powerful American institutions are engaging in an awfully large amount of criminal behavior these days and if I worked in any of them, I would be very concerned about my own legal exposure.

This is not a simple budget increase. It is an explosion - making ICE bigger than the FBI, US Bureau of Prisons, DEA,& others combined.
It is setting up to make what’s happening now look like child’s play. And people are disappearing.

Things that are worse than I thought they'd be:
1) Deportations. I thought this would be a money-maker for buddies who ran private prisons, not sending immigrants abroad to a prison that would not meet US standards that they claim they can't get people back from, even if sent by mistake.
