One of our kid’s books is about birds, and some of the illustrated expressions are just great. Look at that Blackbird. Class clown. And what’s that dove smirking at. 🪶

So love wobbegongs. Everything is good about the wobbegong. Its name. Its flattened Oscar the Grouch face. Its frondy bits. Its lazy life as a hungry rug. And it’s a shark. Outstanding animal 10/10
The Tasselled Wobbegong is a master of disguise that can eat a fish almost as big as itself in one gulp. It's classified as a shark, but when it lays on the sea floor it looks like a harmless rug if you manage to see it. But with powerful jaws and sharp teeth they are no fish to mess with.

Something fun I've been doing. When a reservoir on my paint pallet gets too full (or just neat-looking) I fill it with UV resin and pop it out once dry. These make neat lil magnets and also peal the paint clean off the pallet.

Favorite images of 2025, Day 6: A roseate spoonbill splashes its wings through the water, causing an explosion of droplets as it looks straight ahead towards the camera. One of my favorite photos I've ever taken. #birds

It's that giving time of year again, so this is a reminder that no matter how they try to dress it up, the Salvation Army is not a charity.

Are we doing this again? The post office is a service, paid for by taxes. It doesn’t matter how much money it does or doesn’t make, it literally CANNOT go out of business unless the shitheads in charge actively kill it. Which Republicans have been trying to do for literally decades.
🚨SCOOP: Amazon is preparing to sever ties with USPS and expand its shipping network as a true coast-to-coast rival.

It could cost USPS more than *$6 billion* a year in lost revenue, and lead Amazon to dominate yet another facet of the economy.

USPS posted a *$9 billion* loss in 2025.

I really like how this came out. A lovely combination of ship designs and aesthetics I like and tried out a simple scifi trim sheet collage thing for the texture. The "wings" are meant to be able to fold up under the craft for landing/launching.

Furry bastard update. I replaced it with some metal mesh zip tied together. Squirrel was able to use the same trick and just bend the mesh out of the way, so I reinforced it with some upins. Success at last? Now he’s just pissed and trying to chew through it, which hasn’t worked so far

The fact that a second strike like that in an armed conflict is definitely a war crime should not completely negate the fact that *there is no war* and ALL the strikes are cold-blooded murder. The whole chain of command are murderers.

#BREAKING: Over dissents from the three democratic appointees, #SCOTUS puts Texas's new House maps back into effect for (and, presumably, through) the 2026 midterms.

The three Democratic appointees, in an opinion by Justice Kagan, dissent.

I'll post the ruling shortly.

Hmmm, Creative Assembly just announced Medieval 3. That’s something the Total War crowd has been demanding for a looong time. Now the question is, are they going to take the time to do it right and fix their structural problems or are we going to get another slop effort

an actual lefty candidate managed a 13 point shift left from 2024 on midterm-level turnout in fucking Tennessee

we are going to win
