pre-transition (and even early in transition), I genuinely thought I had "zero bottom dysphoria." my thinking was that I never thought about my genitals (because I never looked at them or interacted with them in any way other than to take a shower), so clearly they didn't bother me.
my counter to this always is that i think ppl actually extremely underestimate their own dysphoria. very similar to like growing up in an abusive environment and not realizing how fucked up it is until you go somewhere else and talk about it and everyone's like wow what the fuck that's so fucked up
