The belief that being Black garners special advantages is so core to conservative ideology that even when they're presented with evidence countering the claim, they interpret it as further affirming it.
Maybe my expectations are unreasonably high for humans, but I find it very difficult to imagine thinking this, let alone thinking to publish it. The “savor” speaks volumes.
