As GDC talk applications have opened, I want to politely remind you that GDC remains one of the most inaccessible, unfairly expensive, and dangerous for-profit game industry events out there - and that offering your labour for free to it just adds value that pressures people into going needlessly.

It also happens to coincide with the state they’re based in building out a lot of filmmaking tax and cash incentives to grow the film industry. Not saying I think it’s why, just a contributing factor. They stand to get some big tax breaks if they start producing even just short films

A freshly baked lasagna that definitely has entirely too much cheese. The top layer of meat sauce doesn’t even cover the top layer of cheese and then there’s parm melted on top of the meat sauce
