Alright! Time for a reintroduction! My name is Justin and I post on BlueSky (formerly on Twitter!) about all things aspec, ace/aro, bi+ and queer, with a focus on BIPOC/disability issues, and intersectionality.

I don’t love the confluence of fat phobia & anti fascism. It’s a dissonance as these things do not go together.

Don’t conflate fat w/ fascism, because one is a moral failing and desire for authoritarianism while the other is genetics, or illness, or love of cake or none your bizness.

It seems like “arguing against a viewpoint that never actually existed” is a genre now.

Ageism and misogyny. The same reason why they're mocking and hating on Violet Affleck.

At the end of the day, conservatives and the right-wing can't stand the idea of empathy, and kindness.

Conversion therapy is simply inhuman torture, and the fact that SCOTUS may help bring it back tells you all you need to know about the moral character of the United States.

As someone who was subjected to conversion therapy, it doesn’t work. It won’t work. It’s torture. I was hooked up to an IV and made to vomit watching gay porn for two hours per week. I was prayed over. Bibles and the Book of Mormon were shoved in my face.

Adelita Grijalva won her election fair and square.

Now House Speaker Mike Johnson is refusing to swear her in because she would be the final signature to release the Epstein files.

Mr. Speaker, respect democracy. Obey the law. Swear Representative Grijalva in immediately.

I keep hearing that artists have to keep creating, to preserve hope, to make people want to carry on…

…But that is really hard to do when you scrape the bottom of the barrel yourself. Can't pass on happiness if you barely have enough to carry yourself through the day.

I am Black American. My people were enslaved, segregated, and degraded for hundreds of years. There was a time when it was considered politically untenable to abolish slavery and legally dismantle Jim Crow. It got done. So, yes, a free Palestine is a political possibility. It is inevitable.

if you're willing to sacrifice some groups for your personal safety, i'm going to assume you'll sacrifice anyone. Either we all get humanity and rights or none of us will. Because nobody is voting for another centrist Dem trying to move the party right. that shit is over.

Trans rights protect EVERY GENDER. Just like the rights black people fought for protect EVERY RACE. Including white people! Y'all are enjoying the spoils of someone else's hard work every damn day.

If a company can fire Lisa at will because of who she is, then it can fire me. And I suppose that doesn't register to people who don't have random-ass bigots with a truckload of power deciding they just don't like that you exist, but I need you all to figure it out before the country falls apart.

This, THIS is what it means to be "pro-life" - to not be afraid of ICE to fight for the lives of their victims. To be at the front of the crowd, fighting for the real people that ICE seeks to destroy.

Um, ICE just coldly shot an unarmed PRIEST in the head w a pepper ball when he (and everyone around him) clearly posed no threat.

For the crime of … complaining about government policy.

Y'all who keep lecturing protesters to "not give them an excuse" need to pause for a minute. Imagine yourself telling a DV victim, "Be sure not to mouth off or make any mistakes so he won't hit you. Don't give him an excuse! It's what he wants!" That's what you fools sound like.

The trick I learned with the $20 rice cookers is that they're not sealed and insulated, so you can't keep rice in them for very long after they've finished. The more expensive ones are much better at keeping rice for hours or days.
