A TEACHER is under investigation after allegedly claiming the world was a ‘slightly safer’ place following the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
The member of staff at Kingsmead School in Hednesford, Staffordshire, reportedly made the comments after Mr Kirk, 31, was shot in the neck while speaking at Utah Valley University last week.
The teacher reportedly wrote on Facebook: ‘People criticise Islam, criticise the farright politics of the Taliban, where women and hidden and subservient, but this man – just because he’s white doesn’t mean that his views on women are any better. He is still a wolf in sheep’s clothing.’
The alleged post concluded: ‘I’m not codoning [sic] the actions of the shooter, he still had a wife and children, who no doubt will miss their father dearly. However, in some ways the world has just become slightly “safer” again.’
Screenshots of the post have been shared around dozens of group chats.
The school called the comments ‘serious’ and ‘not representative’ of it as an organisation. A spokesman said: ‘We do not condone the views shared on the post. It's fairly pointless fact-checking this sort of racist bilge, but as it happens I live in Plaistow and -- of course the area is undoubtedly multicultural, one of the most diverse in the country -- but there are certainly white children here. I've got two of them in my house.
