Hey, if you’re a Seattle/WA author with a book coming out next year and you have a firm pub date, please let me know for potential inclusion in the Seattle Times’s 2026 book preview. (Space is limited but I’ll do my best.)

Drop a link either in replies or at my email: [email protected].

What clear skies? There was cloud cover both times I checked. Just my luck...
Clear skies in Seattle last night meant a rare glimpse of the northern lights over Lake Washington 🌌

91 votes!
Anyone who ever says they don't vote because it doesn't matter can kick rocks
Yet another case of Your Vote Matters

The election for mayor of Seattle is being decided right now over fewer voters than would fit in a typical city bus
JUST IN: Katie Wilson is now ahead of Mayor Bruce Harrell in the Seattle mayoral race.

Stay tuned for details on today's count.

NEW Seattle Numbers---

The Mayor's Race is razor tight.

Harrell 50.74
Wilson 48.86

A little over 4000 vote difference

Wilson just made up a lot of ground.

If anyone is wondering why the Seattle mayor races is taking so, so long:
All of Seattle went "oh shit, I gotta drop off my ballot today" and then forgot to sign it
Check your ballot Seattle friends.

You can also sign up for alerts so you know when it’s been counted or if there are any issues.
There's lot of challenged ballots in Seattle. Challenged ballots disproportionately skew younger with over half from people under age 45.

ICYMI: Katie Wilson responds to Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell's latest attack. Harrell, whose net worth is over $15 million and whose résumé shows he hasn't had to apply for a job since 1990, accused Wilson of being rich because her parents have helped her pay for child care in unaffordable Seattle.

Back in the days of the Iraq invasion, we used to chant 'no blood for oil,' but there doesn't even seem to be an ulterior motive this time other than 'no blood simply so people can make bombs and profit off selling them".

Alright, I need @wsdot.wa.gov to collaborate with the makers of "BULLET TRAIN EXPLOSION" to make a sequel featuring the Washington State ferry system.

“We had to erase trans people or we couldn’t get our federal funding”

Fuck the federal funding. You fight, you sue, you do not become complicit in our mass erasure.

We are all in this together, and we all go down together.

I will not allow us to be jettisoned or erased.
FWIW, the choice was scrubbing their website or potentially closing down because their funding was turned off. Sure they could have sued, but what then?
This is a stunning betrayal by Whitman Walker in DC.

You CANNOT jettison the trans community to protect yourself.

It’s shameful. I got my name changed at WWH. I have promoted their research.

Now they are capitulating to save gay people at trans people’s expense by trying to erase us.

Get your kids, but especially your daughters, the HPV vaccine as soon as you can.

My daughter has extreme vaccine phobia, but when I told her "the reason I am pushing you to get past this soon, is that this vaccine has become politicized, it's an extension of controlling women" her eyes lit UP.
