Personal threats against delegates and their families.
This is quite a story: the US employed every strongarm tactic available, including personal threats against delegates and their families, to derail an agreement on reducing shipping emissions that was almost finalized. on.ft.com/47lq3dZ

Vote yes on Prop 50.
Newsom: "He is not screwing around. He's changing the rules. He's rigging the game because he knows he'll lose if all things are equal. He did not expect California to fight fire with fire."

Six weeks ago, I picked up a year-old tawny owl with a broken leg off the main road near our home and dropped him off at our nearest vet.

After a few days, I received one of the most bizarre phone calls I’ve ever had, asking “So when are you coming to pick up your owl?” 🧵

The right thing to do -- keep leading @governor.ca.gov.
Newsom: "He doesn't play by a different set of rules. He doesn't believe in the rules. As a consequence, we need to disabuse ourselves of the way things have been done. It's not enough to just hold hands, have a candlelight vigil, talk about way the world should be...we have got to meet fire w/fire"

If you refuse to see what is happening, the cancellation of the Colbert show should open your eyes.

I want to explain to you what a censorship state looks like - where a corrupt government gives favors to media that suppresses criticism of the regime.

The largest purchaser of wine is the Liquor Control Board of Ontario.
The shelves of Kentucky whiskey, American beer and California wine are now empty.
The LCOBO was doing a brisk business - good news for Canadian, French, Spanish, Australian, Chilean.
Sucks for Kentucky and California.

Good morning! What hot fresh hell awaits us today? Has Musk stolen all our dogs overnight? Does your toothbrush now have AI in it, and is suddenly racist? Has Trump thrown Santa Claus in an El Salvadoran prison? Why is everything sticky?? Tune in to the SERIES FINALE OF AMERICA to find out!

Ever completed a FAFSA form with your son/daughter? Then your data is also exposed.
Hear me out —

If parents call colleges freaked about their FAFSA data being leaked, schools may have to issue statements — which would reach a whole lot more families about how warped this is.

Organizing isn’t always calling electeds. Sometimes it’s just calling people with a bigger megaphone.
Musk staff have access to student aid data now.

Update: It's 1/22 and eggs still cost too much, the war in Ukraine is still on. Also, Trump pardoned the Proud Boys, threatened war on Panama, is making bank off the presidency with a cryptoscam, and is mad at a bishop for urging him to his face to have compassion and empathy.

Joe Scarborough and Mike Brzezinski spent years obliquely and successfully atoning for their role in Trump's rise during the 2016 campaign, managed to grow their audience through sharp criticism and good faith analysis, and then pissed it all away with a five-minute segment. Tragic cowardice.
