Here's to St. Mungo, patron saint and founder of the city of Glasgow, on his feast day. Australian street artist Smug brought him to a High St gable end in 2018.

A plaque marking the tenement on Dumbarton Road in Glasgow where James Alferd Wight grew up. He would later go on to write a series of books based on his experiences as a vet in Yorkshire, which was then turned into the TV series All Creatures Great and Small.

This is one of my favourite Glasgow tenements. Built on Broomhill Drive in 1905, it was designed in a Scots Baronial style by W.M. Whyte. It looks particularly fine in the early morning light.

The Ca' d'Oro on Gordon Street in Glasgow, one of the most distinctive and unique buildings in its city centre. Designed by John Honeyman in a Venetian Renaissance style, it was built as a furniture warehouse in 1872.

Me: Urgh, I’m so fed up with these dark bags under my eyes. I’ve tried everything to get rid of them.

My friend: Do you drink enough water and get enough sleep?

Me: Absolutely not.

The Blake Lively story is absolutely wild. Silencing women, discrediting their voices is not a new tactic, amazing to see it written down as an actual plan though.

Every year around this time I post this comic up on the Find Chaffy Facebook page. I wait until other viral sites start posting it, then do it officially myself. It’s become a bit of a weird and lovely tradition for a lot of people, and it’s so nice 🫡

The Scottish NHS isn't perfect, no healthcare system is, my mum has melanoma, now sadly stage 4 & incurable, she's never had to wait more than a couple of weeks for a scan or an appointment. She almost died last Xmas. it's only thanks to NHS Scotland we still have her. Not a penny in health bills.
