Pickaxing my way thru the virtualization/orchestration mines since the turn of the century. Playing, mapping, and hosting old FPS games since before then. Lapsed trombonist and vocalist, but still performing (vocal only) on request of certain 5-year-old.

I intend to use my profits from the game to fund and uplift creators less privileged than he is. I’ve already begun that effort with the Draknek New Voices Puzzle Grant: grants.draknek.org

Fun thread!
i think 3d level design is really dumb and amazing and beautiful... its one of those things that i think as an art form we sort of just "got" almost as soon as the technology was available to get it... like Quake 1 - Gloom Keep, it's ALL there. this might as well be an Elden Ring level

No Players Online - the full version of the viral abandoned online FPS horror game - is back on Steam. 🎉

The game was falsely removed weeks ago, just after launching, which has severely impacted the studio's survivability.

Please spread the word, and support it! ❤️

Calutechs are hired to manage and command major fleet operations. These massive monoliths are filled with a combination of organic and synthetic neural networks from various alien species. This flexibility and shared knowledge makes them incredible strategists.

Neat! This reminds me of a time last year when I read an article about www.mcmiddleearth.com ... despite not having played Minecraft in yonks, I had the impulse to jump on that server and see if I could dead-reckon myself out of the Shire and along Frodo's path.

James Cameron here being lengthily interviewed for the OceanGate investigation.

Surprisingly good read! Friendly, directed questioning getting someone to extensively nerd out on a cool niche topic that they have extreme expertise in.

Did you know I wrote a set of command line tools for Quake? Did you know they are totally free and open source?

Once in a while someone will throw a few bucks my way for these tools and every time it makes my day. 😃
