I never anticipated being an NBA fan would require so much math.

Right before these FTs, Pritchard looked to the bench. I assume he asked if he should miss the 2nd intentionally. With no TOs and 1.6 sec it probably would have taken a 90 ft shot for LAC to win.

The made FT allowed LAC to set up this play.

I wonder if Mazzulla would do it different next time.
Clippers almost got this to go to tie the game.

Sam Hauser is an elite 3 pt shooter. He's never had a season where he's shot below 40%. He's probably due.

2017-18 - 49%
2018-19 - 40%

I think it really helps to appreciate the Coen Bros films when you pick up on their homages/references

A few for The Big Lebowski:
Author - Raymond Chandler
Novel/Film - The Big Sleep
Film - The Long Goodbye
Choreographer - Busby Berkeley

Some of you have heard me discuss possession battle before

In a game the Celtics held onto by one possession, they had

- 14-6 advantage in opp. turnovers
- 20-10 advantage in offensive rebounds

basically a +18 in a 3-point game. It's how Jaylen Brown is able to take 33 shots

Joe Mazzulla just had a press conference where he said he's not consoling one of his players ever and he told a kid reporter to not use fun as a cop out for not performing well enough

The brand is STRONG 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I'll tell you what, when the Celtics foul, they make it count 🥴

Joe Mazzulla is definitely their head coach

I heard an NBA coach once say the hardest thing to coach is a good player who is inconsistent.

The Celtics starters seem to have found a nice rhythm - but the bench needs to be more reliable.

My heart would have appreciated a blowout win - but you can't win a close game unless it is a close game.

Good poise in crunch time from the Celtic core.

If Queta keeps up this level of play throughout the season he’ll fully deserve to be in the most improved award conversations. #Celtics

The misconceptions of Mazzulla Ball
It's a little funny to think a year ago everyone was yelling at the Boston Celtics for shooting too many threes and now look 11.5% of their points come from midrange which leads the NBA

I still can't believe James Harden played 51 minutes vs the MAVs

Learning how to get into game rhythm early, after a few days off, is a good "test" for the young Celtics. Can't let rust creep in.

Criterion Channel has re-added the Pioneers of African American Cinema collection.

16 features + 13 shorts/fragments curated by Charles Musser and Jacqueline Stewart.

Oscar Micheaux's BODY AND SOUL (1925) w/ Paul Robeson + a haunting original score by DJ Spooky is a good place to start. #FilmSky

When someone talks about "greatest living film directors" - there are some familiar names that always come up. But Ken Burns should be included, he's an incredible storyteller... I'm really looking forward to this.

HIGH AND LOW (1963)
A masterpiece. Director Akira Kurosawa's adaptation of Evan Hunter's novel KING'S RANSOM. A towering achievement. Stars Toshirō Mifune, Tatsuya Nakadai, Kyōko Kagawa, and Tatsuya Mihashi. Essential viewing. 🎥

De'Aaron Fox & Wemby have only played a handful of games together. Fox had 10 assists last night... but it really seems like their chemistry in crunch time will be the Spurs ceiling this year.

MEM was not interested in playing any defense here... But, I do think Pritchard being in "attack mode" a little more often would not be a bad thing. I think this is where he's at his best.

Can always circle back out, if the defense recovers.

Celtics are one of the better 6-7 teams you'll ever see, and man is that a credit to Joe Mazzulla

On Feb 19 2015, in Brad Steven’s 2nd year, the Celtics were 20-31 and headed for the lottery - then they traded for Isaiah Thomas.

Went 20-11 down the stretch & made the playoffs as a 7 seed.

Pritchard is averaging 5.2 assists per game right now. That the most APG for the Celtics' starting point guard since Smart in '23 season.

I’m a Bostonian. I wanna WIN.

I want players who do the necessary things that result in team success. You can be a great* individual player but I’d prefer the player who makes their TEAMMATES better or can make a really good or excellent team a potentially great one.

All superstars don’t do that
