I was listening to Dwight Yoakam and it occurs to me that the word “telephone” is a really good word to put in a song, but nowadays there aren’t any telephones. Yet another thing they’ve taken from us.

This tracks with my experience. Took me a sec to realize my son uses “AI” to mean “pronouncedly wack”
I was worried my kids would rely on AI as a shortcut but they hate it. They use "AI" to mean stupid or cheap ("aimbot" means good). I tried to say AI is helpful for some things and my daughter said "yeah, for making you stupid." This is how they talked about Drake after "Not Like Us" came out

Dads. What I recommend is that when you put on some sad-ass Phoebe Bridgers Christmas music, you do NOT go back and look at how long it’s been since that music came out, and further you should NOT consider how much older your kids are now than they were then.
