I just finished my final paper for a social media class and chose to write it on dogpiling and *almost* used myself as a case study, but ended up going with a far more bigger profile dogpile in 2021.

there has been no meaningful improvement in the devices or their functionality in 10 years in any way that affects what any normal person uses them to do, people only switch when forced updates cause a device which worked fine yesterday to lag so bad you can't type at full speed until you replace it

Was staying at school studying until midnight, but I'm getting too old for late-night/early AM shit and decided my sanity isn't worth reading every single article 100% anymore, so have started enforcing a "go home" rule by 9pm. Now I wake up at 4:30am instead.

I definitely think AAA game prices going up is not some simple expression of cost, though it sometimes is! It is mostly greed and bad decision making. Also, games as a hobby is so layered and rich you simply do not need to spend a ton to enjoy it! Break yourself of your attachment to The Big Thing.

Just finished meeting with my advisor, he liked my idea to incorporate games with my community psychology work. I might already have a direction to go in for my dissertation. :D
