"ICE and CBP must be abolished" is the only reasonable position. We can debate the specifics of new agencies for immigration functions, but these agencies are simply too infected with a culture of impunity, racism, and fascism to continue. They're gangs with badges.

Counterpoint: I have never in fact lived in a city where police worked hard to earn the trust of anyone but the city's wealthiest and whitest resists (altho it sounds like Minneapolis has improved over the last couple decades)
If Democrats sent ICE and the National Guard into deep red cities, Republican heads would literally explode. I don't know how anyone can be ok with this kind of lawlessness and brutality. Police work hard to earn the respect and trust of their community, and ICE just destroys all of that.
