So hey, if you’re the parent of an autistic kid, this is a really great time to remind them that a) there is no link between vaccines & autism, b) non-autistic ppl get super weird about autism and c) they’re gonna hear & see some royal bullshit from official-sounding people & those people are wrong.

Just a reminder that you can search the government website to find out how PP (or anyone) has voted on everything that came before the house.

Just select the year you're curious about and there you go. He can't hide from his record.

If you’re deploying your wildfire fighting resources to the border, what are you gonna do when there’s fires?

As @jljcolorado.bsky.social pointed out few years ago, hand washing shifts responsibility to the individual. Airborne transmission would mean the government and employers are responsible for protecting the people, by implementing large-scale air filtration units which isn't cheap in the short-term.

We are witnessing an exodus from the caring professions.

Educators. Nurses. Mental health providers. Family physicians.

Everywhere I look, I see stories of caring people who are so burned out that they can no longer continue to serve.

And this breaks my heart.

Anyway, this is just from a short search when looking for something else but it goes to show that the narratives that we have all now become familiar with were being created early on - in some cases, even before the pandemic had taken hold here.
Following the science? Hmmm.

JFC they’re classifying several cardiovascular, autonomic and connective tissue disorders as functional or somatic. That’s just nonsensical. Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome for example is widely understood as a heritable disorder that can cause significant physical issues
The Canadian Paediatrician Society just released this.

They psychologize many of the conditions that long covid kids have including POTS, seizures, abdominal pain, etc.

This document is abusive & WILL harm kids. We need better care here in Canada for our kids. Not this.

Fun fact: If someone quotes a post of yours in a way that is unwelcome (as is commonplace on Twitter/X) there is a tool to combat the unwanted attention. Simply click the three dot menu on the quote post & click "Detach quote". This removes your post from their quote post. Useful to know, do share!

There it is. With this kind of privatization, expect an accelerating download of cost onto the individual patient- who is already paying for healthcare through taxes. Public-subsidized privatization is effectively double taxation, with revenues not going back to the tax coffers.

Either way, kind of nasty to think that every time you are in a public washroom without a mask, you are likely breathing in other people's human waste aerosols on top of their breathe backwash... Fun combo 🤢

In 2021, I gave testimony and evidence under oath in an Ontario courtroom that COVID was airborne and thus we need to take airborne precautions. The other side's expert was a doctor from Public Health Ontario who argued the opposite. I will never stop retelling this story.

But @60minutes.bsky.social taking this on seems a game changer.

if the worst stories the b.c. government gets from their new rules for short-term rentals

are people who bought 400 square foot condos a year ago with $3,000/month mortgages who commodified them into vacation rentals based on 1990s sitcoms

i imagine they will take that deal
