The Guard isn't a monolith. That's my point. Not like ICE. Some are racist violent assholes. Some signed up bc it's the only way to go to college & yr usually only called up for hurricanes. It's a huge spectrum; the idea that they all have the same intent & will all act the same is just nonsensical.

I have no idea what "lib-pilled" means. I DO know more about why working class ppl enlist in the military than you do, and I know that ppl who like power trips & shooting ppl become cops & feds, not Guard. Right now you are thinking macro theory. I am thinking those dudes are not making rent.

I said nothing about ICE. I have no idea who signs up for that shit & why, but they know what they're signing up for. They know what that job is.

I'm saying that people who enlist in the National Guard are not signing up to be part of ERO. They're not even supposed to be deployed against civilians.

Based on nothing but several decades of my own observations & a chart I just pulled out of my ass, it's always seemed to me that the ppl who get airtime are the ones who don't threaten status quo *in a negative way*. They can be edgy, but they edge in the right direction for who's in charge.

Think of it this way: if Admin were certain they had the military behind them, they would not have made creating their own $350B private army their #1 priority. Also, 1 in 10 active duty service members is an immigrant or the kid of an immigrant, and no one enlists to be la migra. No one.

I want to acknowledge that this fight looks really different in different places rn.

It's hard to hear "Let's all wear silly costumes!" when ppl are kidnapping yr neighbors.

In other places, silly costumes truly are an amazingly effective tactic.

There's never only been one right way to resist.
