Lol, Zillow tried to rate the climate risks facing individual properties. The real estate industry *hated* it, precisely because it worked -- it made selling risky properties more difficult. So they rebelled & Zillow caved.

No surprises here; the press almost never mentions the basics:
* it is warming
* fossil fuels adds CO2 & CH4
* these cause the bulk of the warming
* the CO2 increase is basically permanent on human timescale
* its already causing problems for people

The Dutch also have the big advantage of not constantly making excuses about why they can’t make clearly smarter city-making decisions. #Leadership

Nuclear power has no special virtues that could possibly justify overpaying for energy like this. Instead of asking—as so many do—how to make nuclear cheaper and faster, we should be asking—as virtually no one does—why anyone even wants to build them.

6/ 🚨 Per CURRENT and former US officials, there are strong reasons to believe some people on board the Sept 2 boat were people being trafficked.

It is unfathomable that the USG lawyers would sign off on a no-survivors boat strike (no get of jail free card).

There's clear precedent dating back to World War II trial of Germans for that very act, which lawyers know well.

New research shows climate risk is already hitting insurance and home values. And that’s only part of the story. Some serious hazards, like saltwater intrusion, often aren’t covered at all -- and aren’t yet priced into housing markets. Column today: susanpcrawford.substack.com/p/new-data-s...
