This is a lie.

There are many criticisms you might sensibly and truthfully make of the Sentencing Council and the Sentencing Guidelines. I’ve been making them for years.

But this is an outright lie. Pure fabrication. A fraud on the public.

Kind of feels like a big deal that a Reform/Brexit Party former MEP has been convicted of taking bribes to promote Russian interests in Ukraine, and it feels like a bigger deal that this isn’t being treated as the major scandal that it clearly is.

As well as the fantasy £234 bn, journalists should also be clear Farage's claims most new migrants don't work, and those who do are on low wages, are entirely false.

In fact, 1.8 million recent migrants are on payrolls (others will be self employed).

Since WW2, 19 seats in Westminster have been won with less than 30% of the vote. Ten of those were last year. They'll be a lot more next time.

5 parties on more than 12%, winner gains seat with under 30%. Results like this used to be rare, freak outliers. Now they are routine (there was a second just like this yesterday). Electoral chaos.

Tomorrow, the Assisted Dying Bill will be debated in the House of Lords, having passed the House of Commons a few months ago. We asked Nathan Stillwell, our Assisted Dying Campaigner, some questions about the challenges it can expect to face, and what this legislation means to ordinary people.

We plan to spend down the £4.6M endowment over 10 years, and also take on the UK Democracy Fund, a pooled fund I have been chairing since 2019.

Can you help spend that money wisely to tackle political inequality and expand democratic participation?

£45-50k, permanent.

I spoke up for BN(O) visa holders in South Cambs.

Many fled oppression to build safe, free lives here. They contribute so much to our community, yet now face being pushed from a 5-year to a 10-year settlement route.

It’s about fairness & keeping Britain’s word. 🇬🇧🇭🇰

Today I met with President Abbas.

We discussed the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza, the need to end the appalling suffering of Palestinians, secure the release of the hostages still held in brutal captivity by the Hamas terrorists, and how we ensure a two-state solution.

I'm on my way to speak at the House of Lords about Assisted Dying, and why they should pass the Bill.

I'll be largely speaking about my personal experience with it: my mother died of cancer last year in Australia, using Voluntary Assisted Dying.
