Ok I need to get this off my chest, FF7 Remake and Rebirth are shadow sequels to the original FF7 timeline that expect players to have played the original game for the sake of any of the new twists in these two games to land on an emotional level.

It's kind of weird realizing as an adult that you've been in a state of hyper vigilance since childhood that you thought was just normal because you grew up in mainly non-black spaces and didn't want anyone to view you as not being one of the "good ones".
