It might actually be easier to get minerals from imaginary kingdoms than it is to mine them in Greenland.
In off the cuff remarks, President Trump suggests a desire to invade Wakanda to access its vibranium rare earth mineral.

Everyone who thinks Venezuela is a distraction from the Epstein files should really take a moment to consider whether it's the other way around (and not necessarily choreographed by the Trump faction).
Less than 1% of the Epstein files have been released.

Trump’s DOJ is still sitting on more than 2 million documents and the legal deadline to release these files was 21 DAYS AGO.

What else are they hiding and who are they protecting?

This is a cover-up.
DOJ says it has released less than 1% of its Epstein files and is still reviewing more than 2 million documents | CNN Politics
The Justice Department on Monday said it has released 12,285 documents – less than 1% – of its Jeffrey Epstein-related files, with more than 2 million documents still being reviewed.

Musk is the ultimate sin eater for Trump and the Silicon Valley wackos. And he's well paid for it.

It took thousands of years to adapt wolves into the dogs that we trust with our kids.

So yeah, maybe don't have kids interacting with AI just yet.

New euphemism for "bottomless corruption and naked abuses of power" just dropped

You can't win with Trump. If Denmark militarise Greenland, Trump will paint it as agression and therefore a reason to invade. USA has the mightiest army in the world, Denmark can't win. Denmark needs to use the UN and NATO diplomatically.

If we're going to break Venezuela, we should at least offer to make them a state. Manifest destiny and all that.

What this guy said. Also, a machine isn't going to develop an understanding of the emotions and instinctive reactions to sexuality and sexual violation.
1. Headlines everywhere today read "Grok apologizes."

This is bullshit. A chatbot is not something that can apologize.

Pretending otherwise is simple laundering these companies' bullshit about what AI is, while diffusing blame away from the human beings that developed and released this system.

If your economy is dependent on repurchasing essentially the same device again and again because they are deliberately designed to fail quickly, you have a problem with the incentives in your economy.

This does seem just a little bit bad! Idk the sort of thing you’d think politicians might distance themselves from or something!

Everyone went bananas when Deepseek did well on cheaper chips, but the real cannonball was the choice of making it open-source. Zuck's probably never making that $2bn back.
Oh so they sold to Meta for $2bn when they were raising at that valuation? Sounds like a company that had a future to me

The whole "country of individuals and laws" thing just doesn't compute with MAGA's "philosophers".
For someone who occasionally claims to be a Dworkinian of a sort---and who hence has presumably heard of the idea of internal critique---it's actually a little shocking to see that Adrian Vermeule completely fails to understand that criticism can be a form of love and loyalty
