Well, we're already in a constitutional crisis--and social reactions have been muted. I don't think the DPP is stupid enough to try and push for snap elections when the recalls didn't pan out, so I think it's a negotiating tactic to get the KMT to back down from freezing the Constitutional Court

The defendant's name was not disclosed as he's a minor. What can be disclosed though is that he was just 15 (FIFTEEN) years old when he took part in 6 online meetings with the Hong Kong Democratic Independence Union and circulated 3 posts on social media relating to Hong Kong Parliament. October 1st, 2019, was the day that the Hong Kong police first fired live rounds at pro-democracy protestors, and shot one from close range. The teenaged protestor who was shot was brandishing a plastic stick and his other "weapon" was a surfboard shield.
