i spoke to the folks behind the project to bring concord back to life about why they're doing it

steam is apparently allowing "this game had AI in it that it didn't disclose" as a valid return statement, so if you or anyone you know actually paid $70 for slop, get that money back

any time I hear someone say "the garbage collector slows things down too much" I feel like they're not aware of just how many tools you have to avoid heap allocations

It will be a signature talking point of 2026, possibly its politics, and people will continue to drive it into the ground because the reasoning will become "Ok AI takes too many resources, so we just need to give companies dedicated power plants to keep making slop content! It will turn around!"
In the coming months there will be a massive bailout for AI firms. No crumbs will be left for any but the already obscenely wealthy. The coffers for everyone else will be empty. And democratic leadership will tell you this is all for the best. The alternative would be worse. These will all be lies
