I have begun to think that Minnesota pushback to ICE was unique and a model because it gave people something to do. It wasn’t about just going out in streets for rallying purposes. People had a mission: videos, whistles, information and communication flow to communities. They had something to do.

Genuinely interesting. Kristi Noem is snitching that Stephen Miller is the one who made up the bullshit about Alex Pretti.

It would be genuinely useful if Congress can get her to admit that he has been dictating ALL OF THIS just like he dictated the murderboats.

One day after Marimar Martinez sought to lift the protective order in her case, there appears to be a dispute brewing over just such an order in Chicago's Broadview conspiracy case.

(Martinez's attorney also represents one of the six defendants in the Broadview case.)

And here's the full transcript: transcripts.cnn.com/show/acd/dat... It starts off: "Good evening from Minneapolis. The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command. George Orwell wrote that in his book, '1984.'"

Amid these dark moments, something important is beginning to shift.

It's clearly the result of healthy political pressure - which we must sustain, and build.

The people of Minnesota have executed one of the most impressive civil resistance campaigns I can remember:

- Organized a city wide general strike
- Maintained nonviolent discipline amidst violence
- Mobilized 10,000s in subzero temps to protest and watch ICE
- Flipped public opinion against ICE

Martinez has evidence from when ICE shot her 5 times that she wants us to see:

"Ms. Martinez came into the possession of body camera footage, photographs, electronic communications, and other evidentiary materials related to the encounter between herself and Border Patrol agents"
NEW: Marimar Martinez, the woman shot by Border Patrol in Chicago only to be criminally charged (and cleared), seeks to modify a court order so she can "disclose case materials … to the public."

Her atty, Chris Parente, points to events in Minneapolis as well as writings by Justice Samuel Alito:

Wow! This read-along of the NYT moment-by-moment leading to the murder of Alex Pretti should shake everyone awake. He was a Good Samaritan.

Agents fired at least ten shots in roughly five seconds. DHS and Pam Bondi claim Pretti approached them armed and intent on a “massacre.”

So Kyle Rittenhouse, who attended a protest armed with a loaded assault rifle and killed 2 people is a right-wing hero.

But Alex Pretti who had a holstered, permitted handgun, was recording ICE, and tried to help a pepper-sprayed woman deserved to die?

No one is buying this BS.
Kash Patel: "You cannot bring a firearm, loaded, with multiple magazines to any sort of protest that you want. It's that simple. You don't have a right to break the law." (Pretti was carrying a gun legally.)

A reminder to the news media: “conflicting accounts” is what you say BEFORE the incontrovertible video evidence appears. After that, your job is to ask why one side is lying, not to repeat the lie and pretend no one knows the truth.

If you want proof that Trump is going to try to rig the elections, here it is:

In a letter to Gov. Tim Walz Saturday, Bondi claimed that Walz could “restore the rule of law” by complying with a list of demands, including giving the Department of Justice (DOJ) the state’s voter registration records.
