Professionally, I’ve spent a lot of time watching people realize in real time they’ve been cornered and their only response is to make it to the next sentence. This woman is gone. She has no idea where to go here.

I’m seeing a lot of people predict that “the right wing media is going to turn this story for Trump” and “they’re going to work overtime to make America forget this” and you should tell that to all these people out there in Minnesota in fucking January. This can matter. This will matter.
A friend in Minneapolis just sent me this video. Looks like thousands have come together for a vigil after an ICE agent shot and killed 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good. This was my neighborhood for several years before coming to Portland.

A functioning moral being would simply accept responsibility.
A sociopath would obfuscate and say the victim was in the wrong.
But this monster goes a step further, claiming the victim was not only to blame, but part of a larger, organized conspiracy against ICE.

Yes. We don’t need “an immediate investigation and explanation” like some of the democratic caucus is warbling about. I know what I saw in the video, and what I saw was an execution in cold blood. There is no more context to be had.
AOC: This has now become what we feared most about ICE for a long time—that it would be used as an anti-civilian force with no accountability. At the end of the day, what we saw today was a murder, and murders in cold blood need to be prosecuted.

The stakes have been raised. The Democrats have got to run on putting these people in prison. They have to. Jobs, food, all the rest, but shooting a mother in the head on a public street? None of this Garland stuff. "The full force of the government will be brought to bear" on this and similar.

There are hundreds (if not thousands) of pieces of circumstantial evidence that suggest the President likes young women, including from his own mouth, and his own daughter’s. This evidence spans decades. We know he’s a sex abuser. We know he was best pals with Epstein. Is this really that complex?

I think language needs to be even stronger than this. They ought to say “if you work at the DOJ or FBI and your hands are on this, hire a lawyer because you’re absolutely fucked.”

Genuinely think DOJ/Bondi are circling the drain. These are not master strategists or crisis managers - they’re constantly just trying to make it to tomorrow and are fucking up at every step. Eventually, the runway is going to run out, and I think it’s coming pretty soon.
