I can't stop thinking about the purported drug smugglers being murdered by the US military. The punishment for drug offenses isn't the death penalty. This is just bloodlust and men in suits playing with lives they don't care about. It's truly grotesque and gravely compromises this country.

In my world (energy policy), to a first approximation, *everyone* underestimated how bad Republicans would be this time around.
So my basic question is: has anyone updated their priors? Revised their analytical categories? Learned anything from this? Will do things differently next time? Anyone?

My wife has been HIV+ for 34 years. She’s alive today b/c work of activists who destigmatized the virus, pushed medical science to adapt & find ways to treat it, & advocated for gov health programs that helped fund her care.
