Prior to leaving ministry almost a year ago (after 17 years), I had to slowly recognize the incongruity of my income being tied to my faith. Whatever my state as a believer is now, I’m still figuring out, but it really was “spiritualizing capitalism” as stated here.

I’m sorry, we’re meant to believe that the guy who mentioned groping women to a casual acquaintance and is credibly accused of assaulting numerous women, including a jury determination that he did, engaged in illicit sex acts at the home of his friend, a known sex offender? Color me skeptical!
