adding to this- please know there are practices and/or individual therapists w/ Sliding Scale that can include FREE THERAPY for folx who may not have the financial resources! not every office, not every therapist, not always indefinitely but PSA, FYI, ETC.!
Anyway, what I’m trying to say is that I’ve been struggling and I’m glad I’m working to get help. I think a lot of us have built up a tolerance for suffering but what if we don’t have to suffer? What if life doesn’t have to feel like it’s killing us? If you have resources that can help, get help.

If you can understand why a Hispanic ICE agent with a deportation quota will not save you....
Then you can understand why a Black cop with an arrest quota, cannot save you either.
The racism is in the system, not the individual.

Remember your favorite creator possibly might be struggling with imposter syndrome and doubt and this timeline sucks.. so if you find yourself thinking “wow I really relate to this persons work” or that persons work gives you joy, you should probably tell them. It’s a hard time to be a creative.

“The miracle of grace is that we can give what we’ve never been given.” For me, ‘turning out fine’ wasn’t ever going to be good enough. I want to have and give more.
It’s hard to process the absence of something you never had, even as an adult. And for some of us, our brains were formed around neglect in our first years of life, so we have to quite literally rewire our brains to learn how to love and be loved. What’s miraculous is that it really can be done.
