From what I'm seeing, there was a turnout of about 65% of eligible voters, of which Trump got ca. 52%, which yields 34% of the total eligible electorate voted *for* Trump. Hardly a "Will of the People" majority affirmation.

Did many sci-fi writers in the 50’s and 60’a predicted the news headlines of the 2020’s. At the time it seemed an outlandish fantasy….and here we are with it all having come true

Again: Every email's worth of text you have "AI" write uses a pint of water. So imagine if every time you composed 150 words, you had to just take out a 16 oz water bottle, fill it up, and dump it on the ground. That's what you're doing.
We need a new Smoky Bear ad in which he points at the camera and says "Every time you use AI to write a novel, you burn down a small forest."
But okay, if “AI is bad at writing” won’t convince you, and “AI is bad for writers” won’t convince you, and even “AI is bad for *your* writing” won’t convince you, maybe you could try on “AI will destroy the environment in the pursuit of being bad.”

This argument convinced me. I confess that I hadn’t even considered the environmental aspects

We're some years from the point where shaming people about their enabling of Trump will do any good (not least bc the press has lost interest in/ability to shame outside of dumb gotchas, which is part of the point.
